dear sufficiently advanced creator,

i can't wait to see what you make for me, and i thank you in advance (ha)! treats of any medium are very welcome :3

i expand on my likes and DNWs in my master letter, which also contains details on all fandoms that i've requested from other exchanges — that's there if you're curious, but only the beginning section is important if not! below the cut are prompts for my requests for this exchange! i've also listed some headcanons for each character — these are ideas i like but don't except you to adhere to!

twilight
this series is such a hot mess, but damn do i love it... the characters are where it's at for me (bella is best girl forever!), they're kind of the only thing that make half of it work at all. i will say that i do love the lowkey and small-scale vibes of twilight and the beginning to new moon — you know, before it all starting going downhill. the platonic and familial bonds here are also just lovely. i would rather see explorations of any relationship outside of the main plot of twilight, or at least not super attached the larger aspects of it.

relationship(s): jacob black/edward cullen
headcanon(s): jacob — bi. edward — gay, trans non-binary

these two my little crackship that grew way out of hand, and now i'm obsessed. unfortunately, they are not that popular much anymore! i love their contrast — visually, personality-wise, their histories. i like that they have a little rivalry going on, but i'm not much a fan of how one-sidely smeyer writes it. her cullens are just unopposed racists. i think removed from that, their dynamic has so much great potential.

ideas:
  • leaning into edward/jacob being more monstrous. a dark and moody dracula-esque edward who has a genuine blood-rival in werewolf jacob. they kill people <3
  • angsty soulmates au. angsty because edward is always moaning about his lack of soul. jacob is like 'i cannot believe this guy is my soulmate, he's so weird!'
  • bella and edward are drawn to each other as friends, and she sometimes brings jacob on their hangouts. maybe their rivalry here spawns from fighting over who's her actual best friend, and then attraction sparks between them.

relationship(s):
alice cullen/bella swan
headcanon(s): alice — lesbian, trans non-binary. bella — lesbian, trans

bellice!!! fumbling, bookish girl who loves an airy, whimsical girl who loves her back! there's an earnestness to them both, and they bring out the better parts of each other.

ideas:
  • small moments of bella working up the courage to ask alice out, or other awkward attempts to romance her, or her continued flustering at alice's affections.
  • alice and bella contending with mortality and bella's obsession with otherness and her perceived plainness. they're in love and maybe they want different things for each other.
  • bella's emails to alice after the cullens have left. bella fixating on the loss of their magic from her life, and especially the loss of alice. maybe bella details how her life starts to get better. maybe alice drafts responses she never sends.

the murderbot diaries
DNW(s):
human AU

this series is such a fun, adventurous romp through space. i blew through all the current entries in week and loved it. the worldbuilding is definitely is lighter, but the information we do get is intriguing, and the technology of this world and the way characters interact with it is so delectable to me. the bots are just amazing. and murderbot is an awkward, awful, confused mess who i adore.

relationship(s): ART & murderbot, ART/murderbot

murderbot and ART's relationship is the most compelling in the series, to me. there's a level of comfort that murderbot feels around ART that it doesn't around humans, and the means by which they interact are so rife for fun style experimentation. as murderbot increasingly faces having emotions and agency, it can reliably fall back on ART to understand it, and push it. ART's nastiness is also very loveable — it and murderbot should be assholes together.

ideas:
  • ART and murderbot watching a show or movie together, hating or loving it, and their commentary on it. maybe through the lens of whatever they're watching, they compare their relationship to those protrayed and communicated by humans.
  • casefic-esque — murderbot going on some kind of detail and ART aiding it, maybe things get dangerous and ART is worried about murderbot's safety and trying to keep it safe. murderbot has feelings about it.
  • an exploration of their relationship, if murderbot ever gets around to calling it that, outside of the bounds of standard definitions. human relationships are already complicated enough, imagine one between killer robots. maybe get weird and funky with it.

cerulean chronicles
these books are just so sweet and cozy, and i love their earnestness. the setting is lovely, and i'm a sucker for fantastical elements in a story so all the children's quirks are like snacks to me.

relationship(s): any

linus is a delightful little man, and so is arthur. the series is quite light on romance, so i'd love to see a more thorough dive into their relationship, how they work to build their relationship and juggle it alongside taking care of the kids. and speaking of the kids, i adore linus' growing closeness with lucy throughout the series, and how they really come to see each other as family. and in the second book i really enjoyed seeing arthur and phee have their moment together, it felt so right. i just love seeing them all interacting as a happy family.

ideas:
  • after the second book, maybe farther into the future, seeing how life is like on marsyas. have arthur and linus adopted more children? have the original marsyas kids made new friends, found new conflicts?
  • phee going through teenage angst, and trying to lean on arthur to get through it. maybe they experience friction and she lashes out in confusion, then dealing with the aftermath of that.
  • lucy internally struggling with linus' presence in his life, maybe with jealousy and fear that he'll take arthur's attention away, but eventually coming to love him like he does arthur.
  • holiday or birthday exchanged cards in the marsyas house. something sweet and that highlights the uniqueness of all the characters! maybe taking place after the second book, farther into the future, getting glimpses into everyone's lives.
  • maybe linus or arthur has to leave the island for a period of time, and they send letters or phone back home, reassuring the kids and making no-one's burnt down the house or broken any limbs.
